Lets focus on Mishel G the talent who’s making waves and turning dreams into beats.

Music has always been my escape, a force that lifts me beyond the ordinary. My name is Mishel, and I come from Benue State. Ever since I was little, I’ve dreamed of becoming a star but had no idea where to start. Music made me feel like I was floating in space, far from reality. My journey began when my dad would take us to the church choir, where I learned to sing, and from there, my passion grew. After moving to Abuja for school, I met people who shared my dreams. We’d often sing in class, and that’s when I wrote my first song. It wasn’t great, but I didn’t give up. Today, my music is a reflection of my personal experiences—self-confidence, empowerment, and self-love. Through this, I aim to connect deeply with my audience.

My musical inspirations include Ayra Starr, Doja Cat, and Burna Boy. I create a unique fusion of Afrobeat, RnB, and Pop.

The joy of making good music is unparalleled. Hearing a track and knowing it’s solid is an incredible feeling. I love live performances, being on stage with all eyes on me, just doing what I love. Plus, traveling and meeting new people are definitely perks of the job.

Who do you fantasize about collaborating with?

Oh, definitely Ayra Starr, Doja Cat, Rema, and Burna Boy. That would be a dream come true!

Right now, things are going pretty well, but networking has been challenging. I get nervous meeting new people, so I’m working on building meaningful connections with fellow artists and industry professionals.

The Story Behind “Lonely” my sophomore single:
Lonely” is a song about romantic gestures and a little flirtation. It’s about this guy who really liked me, but I was just looking for some company for the night. The melody came to me while I was vibing to a beat in the studio. The song ended up being a reflection of my current mindset—I’m not interested in any relationships that might distract me from my career. Writing “Lonely” helped me realize how versatile I can be in exploring different genres and sounds.

What’s next for you?

I’ve just released my sophomore single “Lonely” and have been working on a few other songs. Who knows what’s next—maybe collaborations, an EP, or even more singles. We’ll see!

How do you balance your music life with other obligations?

Right now, music is my top priority. I’ve dedicated all my time to it.

If not music, what would you be doing?

If I wasn’t a musician, I would have pursued modeling and become an influencer.

Where do you envision your career in five years?

In five years, I see myself collaborating with influential artists and producers, breaking into the international market, headlining global tours and festivals, and winning prestigious awards. I want to inspire the next generation of musicians.

How has your music or style evolved with your new releases?

My creative process has evolved. I’ve experimented with new techniques, genres, and instruments, and I’ve shifted from self-empowerment themes to more romantic and personal ones. I also took a break from music, which gave me clarity on who I am as an artist. Now, I approach music with renewed passion and confidence in my artistic vision, and I’m excited for what’s next.
