Chiedu Brown, popularly known as “Your Ajebo Streetboy,” is a dynamic and rising radio personality from Abia State, Nigeria. His unique journey and diverse experiences have shaped his multifaceted career, and he’s ready to take the world by storm.

Chiedu spent his childhood traveling across various Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Aba, Port Harcourt, and Owerri. His education was equally diverse, attending primary and secondary schools in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Owerri. He later pursued higher education at the Obafemi Awolowo University and the National Open University.

Chiedu describes his career as a long and determined path. “Thankfully, I almost always knew where I wanted to be,” he reflects. He began his professional journey as an intern at Cool FM Lagos. After spending three years doing digital work in Abuja, he is now an OAP (On-Air Personality) at Cool FM in Port Harcourt where he hosts “Night Cafe and Sunday Praise Jam”. And when he is not on radio he is hosting events. For him, this is just the beginning of an exciting adventure.

Chiedu is a Christian, currently single, and has no children, which allows him the freedom to travel extensively across Nigeria. He enjoys visiting cities such as Onitsha, Abakaliki, Bonny, Ibadan, and Abeokuta, and looks forward to exploring even more places in the future.

Chiedu draws inspiration from various mentors for different aspects of his life and career. These include Femi Obong-Daniels, Charlemagne Tha God, Do2dtun, Nedu Wazobia, and Vusi Thembakyo. “I have different mentors for different occasions,” he says.

One of the most significant events in Chiedu’s life was the loss of his mother in 2014, which left him orphaned. This tragic event forced him to drop out of school in 2016. Despite these setbacks, he never gave up on his dreams and eventually started his dream job in 2023.

Chiedu may not always sound or look the part, but he proudly embraces his Igbo heritage, which he credits to spending most of his formative years in Owerri.

What does it mean to be Nigerian?

Well I think it’s simple really, what it means to be Nigerian for me is to want something and go get it. This isn’t exclusive to Nigerians of course but we have a knack for almost always being the best at whatever we really set our minds to. From Architects and Doctors to Musician, Producers and Footballers. When a Nigerian wants something, we go and we get it.
